Art and Stephanie at Father's Day

Art and Stephanie at Father's Day

10/13/14 pm

I (Jenn) went down today to see Art and Steph this afternoon.  Art is getting better and the biggest goal right now is to get him up, out of his bed and into a wheelchair.  This will enable him to go see his wife AND will be HUGE in helping his injuries recover without any setbacks.  Steph is maintaining.  That is HUGE!! Day three and we haven't been told any declines.  She continues to improve in color.  Please pray for her as she goes in tomorrow for a second surgery on her injured leg.  With her status so critical it is important that she is covered in prayer.
Our family is so thankful for everyone who has stopped by to say hello.  We know it means the world to them to see their friends and family.  Please be very cautious about visiting if you have been ill or around ill people.   In the next few days I'll be getting a "Guest Log" to put in each of their rooms, so you can write a note to them.  Stephanie is going to want to read about each person who came to see her.  Of course you can also sign the guest book on this blog.  When they are ready, I'll print the entries off to have them read.
Thank you again for your continued prayers and support.

  7. So happy to hear Stephanie is stable. My heart, soul, thoughts and prayers are with you guys. Still cannot believe this happened. I know I'm far away but please let me know if there's anything I/we can do even if it's helping coordinate lunch/dinner for anyone who simply doesn't have time/energy to think about it right now.

Still in disbelief that this is happening...We are only 5 hours away and can come up to help out in anyway we can. Much Love Mom

  10. God is faithful to get the saints praying! Two former Calvary of Truckee families that now live in Meridian, Idaho, bumped into each other Sunday. We are all continually praying for you, Art & Stephanie. We are heartbroken about what has happened, and wish we weren't so far away. Please know we love you guys, and thank you for this blog Lopez Family. Cliff & Laura Robbins

  12. Oh Dear Sweet Stephanie, you are in my thoughts and prayers everyday. I lift up thanksgiving for how you served the Lord when at CCTruckee for so many years and since. You are a blessing to all of us and an example of a gentle quiet spirit the Lord loves. I pray sister that our Father in heaven bless you, keep you, make His face shine upon you and send multitudes of guardian angels to watch over you and minister to you as God calls you forth on this new path of trust, faith and patience. May He be mightily glorified in you through this as all watch how He turns all thing for the good for you, one who is called according to His great plan and purpose for good, to have hope and a future. I pray that you and your man of God, Art, rise like eagles above this storm and stand by our mighty God's side. Remember victory is yours, the cross has set you free, righteousness is yours, the blood has washed you clean. He is the vine and you are the branches, the Lord cries you are mine, abide in Me he says, and you will see, you can do all things through Me, your Lord on High! May His presence and His Word our breath of life sustain you and strengthen you. You two will be continually in my thoughts and prayers. With all Love in and for our wonderful Father, your sister Helen.
